Had Some Sad News Today

www.grosvenorgardencentre.co.uk

I bumped in to an old friend and former colleague today while I was out with the boys. Oh what fun we used to have when we worked at Brother Industries UK together. She was the friend who was brave enough to tell me that my fiance was cheating on me, she was the friend who helped me pick up the pieces, she was the friend who came with me to look at the wreck of my brothers car at the scrapyard......

One of our friends and colleages who we nicknamed Hoppy because of her surname, died earlier on in the year. She was about 38 and had just given birth to twins. She had 12 heart attacks one after the other but died of shock.

We had such fun with Hoppy, she was such a pretty vivacious girl, full of fun. One of the friends I regret losing touch with.

When Ronnie told me, I had goose bumps all over... Its so funny but earlier on this year I was filled with thoughts of her and even tried to find her over face book.

Christmas time is a wonderful time of year but its also one of those times when we think back over Christmas' past and say a prayer for those loved ones no longer with us.

God Bless you Hoppy and thank you for being a part of my life.

  3. I am glad you re-connected with a truly good friend, but sorry to hear the hard news she shared. 38 is too soon to go, leaving twins without a mama. Well, god bless.

  5. Hey - I am sorry to hear your news. Quite often life seems so bad but there are still people who are worse off than us - at least we are being given the chance and opportunity to get rid of this horrid disease and hopefully return to some kind or normality. What a terrible turn of events at a time when they should have been celebrating the birth of the twins.

  6. Thank you, Sarah. We had a horrible tragedy in our extended family a couple of months ago and I have known that I would have to face thinking of our little Vanilla at this 'family' time. I haven't been able to bear it... knowing the floodgates of emotions it would open... your post opened them and I have had a real cry... I lovely cry, a well needed cry for Vanilla. The cry let me open my heart to her again and let her back in, in her absence.
It's still unbearable, but not as much as before.
    Blessings and magic.
