The above picture is me aged 14 with Tara at the riding school I used to help at, Llwyn Onn.
I have recovered from my weepy day really well. My sons stayed at my mums over night while Jason and I went out for a meal to Piccolinos in Chester. Highly recommended if you ever come to Chester. The service was second to none; not to slow, not too fast. The food and wine were superb.
Starters: I enjoyed Parma Ham with Melon, Jason had beef with salad
Main: I had Raviolli, with a garlic, lemon and cream sauce, Jason had Duck with jus and mash
We both finished off with my favourite - Tiramisu!!!
The next day was lovely not to be woken up at 6am by the boys so we traveled off to Ikea in Warrington for some bits and bobs. Managed to spend £150!!! I bought my mum some Swedish cakes and food as a thank you for looking after the boys.
Joe decided to stay with my mum over night again because he had so much fun with her but Harry came home. Harry likes the comfort and routine of home, he knows what will happen and when, it is his protection zone. As he grows up and we take the autism in hand, he will be different but for now he is happy with small visits.
He woke me up this morning with his bleeding wobbly tooth. He asked me whether he should tie it to the door and shut the door!!!! He was serious!!!! I had to deter him - FAST! Luckily the offending tooth fell out when he was eating his cereal. Disaster avoided.
Now we are off to the Oswestry Horse Show for the day.... pictures will follow!

I hope you are keeping well. I had two breast surgeries when they found lumps in my breast. I was lucky they were not cancer. I wear my big scars and am thinking of you suffering far worst than me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see your photo with your horse, I think to myself, what a coincidence, I once wrote a short story of an English girl who loves horses.
Thank you for visiting.
I am so glad to hear you are doing better! It sounds like a lovely time out with just you and hubby, and the food sounded scrumptious! Have a wonderful time at the horse show! :-)
ReplyDeleteForgot to add - thank you for visiting and commenting at the Krazy Kitchen and Color Carnival too! :-)

ReplyDeleteThe food sounds delicious and here I am about to make a peanut butter and jam sandwich...
In my younger days I used to ride too...I thought about riding for therapeutic reasons, but it's been a while since I was on a horse.
